This is TANK. He is a special boy. He was born with birth defects which caused his leg bones to grow so that his front feet basically face backwards. He is a happy, go lucky dog who doesn't know he's different. We rescued him from Animal Services and really hope he might be able to go to a home where a child has a similar disability. We asked our Vet (Scheele/Alderson) if he could be fixed and they said his chances are 50/50 that he might be able to and he also might be crippled for life. He runs and plays just like all dogs and he's fine so we aren't taking the chance.
Here is 5 of the 10 that we rescued. They are much bigger now and will be up for adoption soon.
Inside the pen you see 3 puppies that were found running down the road towards oncoming traffic. They are spayed/neutered, shots, etc and are ready for adoption. See them at the upcoming adopt-a-thon at Petsmart. Go to events page for dates.

To their right outside the pen is the momma dog that had the litter of 10 in the picture above. Looks like these pups could be hers too huh?
More to come, keep checking back. We hope and pray that the Midland Humane Coalition and the new Adoption Center at Petsmart will be a huge success and we can concentrate on targeted rescues. More to come on that too. The new adoption center is set to open in March.
